Silky Charmeuse

Imitated Silk Charmeuse Fabric is a lightweight, glossy material with a nice drape for a gorgeously flowy look. Charmeuse Fabric is made using the satin weave technique, whereby at least four weft yarns float over a single warp yarn at a time, or vice versa. This floating, creates the shimmery appearance of the fabric. Since it is made from imitated silk, the material offers the same outstanding durability, insulation, and wrinkle resistance characteristics of the synthetic fabric. With this fabric you can craft luxurious gowns, lingerie, and blouses.

Machine-wash warm or cold, tumble dry. Pull straight from the dryer to prevent wrinkles, or iron while damp. Prewash cotton fabrics before cutting out your pattern.
